Advantage Proof of Concept Grant Fund

Background

The £5.8 million Advantage Proof of Concept Grant Fund was launched in 2008 to promote economic growth through innovation. It was set up by the University of Warwick Science Park with funding from Advantage West Midlands and the European Regional Development Fund to provide grants of up to £30,000 for universities and businesses developing innovations that have significant economic potential.

Brief

Following the launch of the Advantage Proof of Concept Grant Fund, Warwick University Science Park needed a website to support the offline marketing of APoC by providing a portal for potential applicants to find out more about the Fund and to register their interest.

Solution

The intelligence behind the site allows enquiries to be routed automatically to the most relevant office within the organisation. Accessibility and usability features make the site easy to use and to navigate.

Benefits

The site has contributed to the client being 80% ahead on enquiry targets. The success of the site is made obvious by the fact that it has seen more than 500 unique visitors in its first month active.

It has provided an easy to find repository of information about the Fund, which has become the first stop for any possible applicants. This means that the Fund team spend less time answering fairly basic questions and instead can concentrate on improving the quality of applications that they consider.

The site has achieved a top position in Google and ranks number 2 for the keywords 'funding west midlands'.

Not only did you deliver the highly professional service that we expected but it was also a delight to work with you and your team. You interpreted our requirements precisely and have delivered an attractive, functional website whilst keeping to very tight deadlines (even when we failed to do so!).
